Draw Formats

How each draw works

Seed by player rating, pick a format, and ManageMyMatch builds the draw and moves players through it as results come in.

FormatHow it worksBest for
MonradWinners and losers keep playing every round, so every finishing position is played off. In a 16 player draw everyone plays four matches and finishes ranked from 1st to 16th.Club championships where everyone wants a full day of play
Knockout with platePlayers who lose in the first round go straight into a plate draw, so nobody's event ends after one match. Draws with or without byes handle uneven entries.Open tournaments with a mix of standards
Round robin boxEveryone in a box plays everyone else, once or home and away.Box leagues and friendly competitions
HandicapWeaker players start with bisques, free points worked out from the gap in ability, so a match to 11 might start at 3 to 0. Bisques can also be played during the match.Mixed ability club nights

League Operations

A box league cycle, start to finish

  1. 1

    Entries and boxes

Players are placed into boxes by rating or by last cycle's finishing position, using your club's promotion and relegation rules.

  2. 2

    Rating prompts

Players without a rating are asked to set one before the event starts, so boxes are seeded fairly.

  3. 3

    Players arrange and play

Smart invitations and the match finder help opponents agree a time, and the court is booked automatically.

  4. 4

    Scores entered and confirmed

One player enters the score and the opponent confirms it. The box table updates straight away.

  5. 5

    Walkovers handled

If a player gives a walkover, the court booking is released, the result is recorded and the opponent is told automatically.

  6. 6

    Participation checks

Before the next cycle opens, anyone who hasn't entered yet gets a reminder, so nobody drops out by accident.

  7. 7

    One click rollover

At the end of the cycle the next event is created automatically. One click applies promotion and relegation, builds the new boxes and charges entry fees.

Team & County Leagues

Inter club and county leagues

Team entries invoiced
Clubs entering teams into inter club and county leagues are invoiced for their entry fees automatically.
Fixtures and home courts
Fixtures are scheduled automatically, and courts are booked at the home club for each match. Captains can agree a new date in the app when they need to.
Squad line ups
Players put themselves forward for a fixture. Captains declare the line up, or let ManageMyMatch suggest one, then confirm it.
Live scores and standings
Each rubber can be scored live from a phone or a match marker, and league standings update as results come in.

Coaching

Coaches run their own business

Client groups
Coaches run their own client groups, from junior clinics and holiday camps to private lessons, with members booking online.
Course prepayments
Players can pay for a whole clinic course up front, at a saving, instead of paying session by session.
Recurring sessions
Set a session up once and it repeats every week, with the court booked automatically and coaching courts kept clear of peak social play.
Paid via Stripe
Session fees are paid straight into the coach's own Stripe account, and the club's facility fee is deducted automatically.
